In Rust, there is one goal above all else: to endure.  Overcome thirst and appetite, fight with components, craft weapons, and defend against threatening forces such as other players, researchers, bears, wolves, and even surrender to shoot, drown, or damage radiation.

In a battle of endurance and incomparability, players can craft small lodges in forested areas to massive fortresses of salvaged materials that attempt to protect, just as they do with a variety of weapons, bombs, and traps.  A game without rules: Rust doesn’t give its inhabitants any instructions.  Players are allowed to be misleading and powerful with extreme player-versus-player combat, assault, and looting, but there’s so much more to be achieved with a friendly group of players nearby.
