In a rugged terrain, a dashing world full of buzz, DIRT 5’s Career jobs make sure you stand out from the crowd and make sure no one misses your name.

The player is dropped into the widely acclaimed rugged terrain rushing setup that delivers consistent exceptional activity across all sorts of concentrated functions from the mainland to the mainland.  As you think about giving it your all and creating a buzz in the rush scene, you catch the eye of Alex Janièek – also known as AJ, voiced by the magnificent Troy Baker.  An undisputed talent in the DIRT world and a fan favorite, AJ quickly encourages you and shows you what it takes to get to the top of the game he’s been beating for a long time.

However, you’re by no means the only new racer making a splash. Enter Bruno Durand, a super-serious, cool, determined veteran voiced by the real Nolan North. A hero on other rough-and-tumble tracks, Bruno’s talent and star power mean a clash with AJ is inevitable, but what follows is an epic race between these two icons, setting the framework for you to carve out your own legacy in the game. The entire story, your journey, and significantly more are covered inside and out by the DIRT Podcast, hosted by Donut Media, facilitated by James Pumphrey and Nolan Sykes of the Donut team. It all comes together for a deep, account-driven mode that sees you rise from obscurity to infamy in a world of advanced hustle and bustle. All things considered, just in case you have the stuff…

CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE

The story is there for this purpose – but how will you experience it?

The Career is divided into five chapters to cover the critical moments in the story. Each chapter offers different paths for the player to take, meaning you can choose which functions to tackle through the chapter. If you wish, you can compete in everything that is currently on offer, which is currently over 130 functions across nine different race types highlighting every area in DIRT 5.

Complete challenges to unlock new functions in the Chapter; the higher you place, the more Stamps you earn. Each chapter’s Main Event requires a certain amount of Stamps to unlock, so the better you play, the quicker you can progress. Headliners are the end of each chapter and a tougher test for the player. Finish third or higher to advance to the next chapter.

That’s not all though. Complete specific objectives across all Career functions to unlock mysterious Throwdowns, where you go one-on-one with a fierce challenger in epic functions.

TALK TO THE WORLD’S BIGGEST BRANDS

To travel to the far corners of the planet, race mind-boggling vehicles and matter in this atmosphere, you’ll need endorsements. As a rookie who’s been promoted in depth, the world is watching – and there are some big names who might want to talk to you…

There are 20 authentic brands available to endorse you in Career mode, including Monster Energy, Sparco, Michelin, Fatlace and yours truly Codemasters. Each endorsement will have one-of-a-kind rewards when you sign with them, including a restrictive outfit from that brand, stickers to use in the livery fixer and a cash markup reward. Each endorsement will have goals they need you to hit in your Career, both long and current. Do this and you’ll grow your Reputation Rank, which rewards you handsomely when you reach a high level.

Players can switch to another endorsement at any point in the Career, but the earlier you leave a endorsement, the less rewards you’ll receive, especially if you don’t fulfill your endorsement’s core racing contract. So, will you stick with one brand or will you see what a wide range of customers have to bring to the table during your Career journey?  The decision is yours.

PLAY THE JOURNEY

Want to take some of your friends who are curious about what's going on?  Earth 5's four-player split-screen option is remembered for Career mode!

For any of the Career functions that highlight a large number of vehicles on target, each additional player takes the place of an AI driver.  They're not just there to support you;  the highest completion status of any player is what counts towards the Career, meaning that by cooperating you can earn more Stamps, more support rewards, and more money.  While these rewards are only meant to be earned by the host player, each additional player will receive XP and money compensation for their own records, which they will then have when they next play DIRT 5 as the host player.

Finally, split-screen participation is a bargain - so your friends can jump in and out of your Career venture whenever you need them, without having to end your move.  Smooth.
