Since the beginning of creation, THE COUNCIL has maintained the Balance in the face of existence. The HORSEMEN, who pledge themselves to the Council and are granted immense power, carry out the will of the Nephilim (epochal creatures created from the unnatural union of divine messengers and demons). However, this power came at a shocking cost: the Horsemen were asked to use their recently discovered solidarity to purge the rest of their kind. A cataclysmic war ensued in Eden, where the Horsemen, acting in accordance with the Council's wishes, destroyed the Nephilim.

Still reeling from the events in Eden, WAR and STRIFE were given another mission - the mysterious and cunning demon ruler LUCIFER, who has admitted his capacity to hang evil spirits throughout Hell, is plotting to disrupt the Balance. War and Strife must hunt down these bosses, gather data, and ultimately fight through a complex, demonic connivance that is always on the verge of angering the Balance and unraveling all of creation.

DARKSIDERS: GENESIS is an activity/experience that plows through hordes of demons, blessed heralds, and everything in between, as you approach Hell and return with blazing guns and swinging swords. The beginning, like the cavalry STRIFE, gives players their first look at the DARKSIDERS universe before the events of the first game.
