Special Ops

Anti-Cheat Mode
Activision announced that Call of Duty’s Ricochet anti-cheat feature has been modified and enhanced with additional features and mitigations to combat hackers. The new era of the series requires updated anti-cheat to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of cheaters. The anti-cheat team now has the capacity to improve security more systematically thanks to the re-invention of Ricochet on a new, integrated security platform.

Gunsmith 2.0
The “Gunsmith Experience” is an all-new environment with a custom user interface that gives players the impression of being in a gunsmith shop.

The “Gunsmith 2.0” feature introduces an entirely new way for players to acquire attachments and build their loadouts. Gunsmith allows players to customize their weapons with attachment options tailored to their playstyle.

Players can only acquire five attachments in Gunsmith in Modern Warfare 2, compared to 10 in Call of Duty: Vanguard. New weapons can be grouped together to create a related weapon family. Players will earn a new Receiver attachment when they use a weapon in-game. As players progress, they will be able to acquire attachments for various weapons as weapons on the same platform are unlocked.
